“the other dave” is Dave Mansel, the other dave of David Thomas McNaught Guitars.
After working as a professional musician, award winning artist, luthier, and the only
person ever to apprentice under David Thomas McNaught, no one is better qualified
to take care of your valued instrument.

    Dave Mansel has over fifteen years of professional work as a studio musician. He has
won awards for nearly every form of art including fine art and portrait work. At the age
of sixteen he sold his first commissioned work to the Bank of Arizona and has never
looked back.

    Dave has gone on to do commissioned work for Harley Davidson, NASCAR, Journey,
Godsmack, 3 Doors Down, Superjoint Ritual, Devil Driver, Shinedown, Clutch, and a long
list of others.

    Dave remains as the only person to ever gain the approval of David Thomas McNaught
and is the only other person to ever touch a McNaught Guitar during production. Dave
continues to handle all the McNaught Guitars finish work.
